Step 1: 15-Hour Health and Safety Training
Your first requirement when starting a licensed or registered childcare business in New York
- Learn essential practices in safety, supervision, health, and regulations.
- Choose weekday or weekend classes that fit your schedule.
Step 2: CPR and First Aid Certification
Be prepared to respond to any emergency involving children or adults.
- Covers CPR, first aid, AED, and choking response.
- Offered every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Step 3: Introduction to the Childcare Business Course
Set your childcare business up for success from day one.
- Licensing, business formation, policies, marketing, and more.
- Practical tools and real guidance to help you launch your program.
Step 4: 30-Hour Mandatory OCFS Training
Stay compliant and continue developing your professional skills.
- Meets the OCFS 30-hour, 2-year training requirement.
- Covers the 10 topic areas required by law.
Step 5: CDA Credential Training (Child Development Associate)
Earn the nation’s most recognized early childhood credential.
